How to keep up with your job search when you're looking after your kids full-time

Struggling searching for a job with looking after your kids, can be trying experience. Just even when you’re trying to snatch a minute to navigate a job board when your child is wanting your attention day and night can be frustrating.

I know how hard working and juggling a young family can be. I working on my business and my 2 and 3 year old kids are at home and trying to snatch a moment to work can be challenging.

Therefore I wanted to share my tips on how to search for a job effectively whilst your kids are at home.

1. Make sure your CV is ready and uploaded on relevant job boards and sign up to job alerts

2. As soon as a job alert comes through, you can apply immediately with a few clicks

3. Utilise times when your child is playing or napping to make connectionswith recruiters on LinkedIn or conduct a thorough search on job boards

4. Don’t beat yourself up if you feel you didn’t get anything done in the day due to your kids. They take up a lot of time and attention. Remember you are doing the best you can under really difficult circumstances.

Hi, I'm Louisa

Thanks for reading my article

I know, it’s easier said than done right? But, I’ve been able to do this by organising my career in a way that doesn’t inflict on family life.
